Our mission is to provide a sustainable source of free food for everyone and to teach others the importance of growing food and the impact it can have. Additionally, we aim to integrate nature within inner cities to promote a more harmonious way of living with nature.
Our current food system is not sustainable, and if we do nothing to change it, we may not have a future. Too many people are dependent on our monetary system to obtain food, to the point where the entire system has become fragile. All it takes is a major natural disaster to completely destroy the system we are so reliant on.
Why we do what we do
Despite producing more than enough food to feed the global population, over 690 million people around the world still go hungry.
In addition, 1.3 billion tons of food are lost or wasted every year. Why does this happen? It is primarily because food costs money, and what is not bought or sold is often thrown away.
The solution is to create a sustainable source of free food for all. While free food for everyone may seem like a distant reality, I believe it can become a reality right now.
